These are of a dilapidated, rusted water well pump that resides on my parents property in Alvarado, Texas. I’ve had this ongoing debate with my mother about how she has always wanted to paint it and I kept telling her it would ruin it’s character. So I was over there one day and I happened to notice the slight patina on it. I decided then I had better capture it in it’s current state while I had the chance. Luckily I had my camera with me and the result is what you see here.
These prints were most recently on display at M Lounge (formally Ten Martini Bar) in Fort Worth.
